The Prosopography of the Neo-Assyrian Empire online

The Prosopography of the Neo-Assyrian Empire (PNA) is a series published by the Neo-Assyrian Text Corpus Project (State Archives of Assyria [http://www.helsinki.fi/science/saa/cna.html]) of the University of Helsinki under the directorship of Simo Parpola. The six fascicles of PNA were edited by Karen Radner (volume 1) and Heather D. Baker (volumes 2–3). PNA is an international undertaking involving the collaboration of over 70 scholars from around the world, including a corps of linguistic consultants. To quote from the introduction to the first fascicle (1/I p. xi), PNA "is supposed to serve both as a 'Who Was Who in the Neo-Assyrian Empire,' providing the reader with all known data about any individual, and as a name book in the conventional sense, offering etymologies for the attested names".
