(1) To the god Adad, the almighty lord, powerful noble of the gods, son of the god Anu, unique, awesome, supreme, canal inspector of heaven and netherworld, who rains down abundance, who dwells in the city Zamaḫu, the great lord, his lord:

(4) I mustered my chariotry, troops, (and) armed forces (and) ordered the march to the land Ḫatti. In one year, I made lands Amurru (and) Ḫatti in their (text “its”) entirety bow down at my feet. I imposed upon them tax (and) tribute forever. I (text “he”) received 2,000 talents of silver, 1,000 talents of copper, 2,000 talents of iron, 3,000 linen garments with multi-colored trim (as) the payment of Mari of Damascus. I (text “he”) received the payment of Joash (Iūʾāsu) of the land Samaria (Israel), (as well as that) of the people of Tyre (and) Sidon.

(9) I marched to the Great Sea of the Setting Sun. I erected a statue of my lordly majesty in the city Arwad, which is in the midst of the sea. I ascended Mount Lebanon (and) cut down 100 strong beams of cedar for the requirements of my palace (and) temples. I (lit. “he”) received tribute from all of the kings of the Naʾiri land(s).

(13) At that time, I decreed (the following) for Pālil-ēreš, governor of the lands Raṣappa, Laqê, Ḫindānu, Anat, (and) Sūḫu, the city (Ana)-Aššur-(utēr)-aṣbat, my official: the city Dūr-Ištar, together with its 12 villages, the city Kār-Sîn, together with its 10 villages, the city Dūr-katlimmu, together with its 33 villages, the city Dūr-Aššur, together with its 20 villages, the city Dūr-Pālil-ēreš, together with its 33 villages, the city Dūr-Marduk, together with its 40 villages, the city Kār-Adad-nārārī, together with its 126 villages in (the area of) Mount Singāra, 28 villages in (the area of) the land Izalla (Azalla), the city Dūr-Adad-nārārī, together with its 15 villages in the land Lāqê, (and) (the city) Āl-Adad, together with its 14 villages in the land Qatnu altogether 331 small cities that Palil-ēreš undertook to (re)build by the decree of his lord (Adad-nārārī).
