URU.ki-šeš-lu al-me KUR*-ud1

(1) I surrounded (and) conquered the city Kišešlu.

1E. Flandin’s copy (Botta, Monument de Ninive 2 pl. 147) omits the two vertical wedges of URU, indicates that the KI is partially damaged, omits one of the two final Winkelhaken of ŠEŠ, and indicates that the AL is defective. KUR*: P.E. Botta’s copy (Monument de Ninive 4 pl. 180c) and Flandin’s copy (ibid. 2 pl. 147) have NU, while H. Winckler’s copy (Sar. 2 pl. 49 no. 2m) has KUR.
