1Ex. 3 has fa-tal-ia-a for fa-ta-li-ia-a. S. Parpola (SAAB 2/2 [1988] pp. 73–76) argues that the reading of MUNUS.É.GAL is issi ekalli > sēgallu; cf. the discussion in Borger, MZ pp. 346–348. The translation of this term, which literally means “palace woman,” as “queen” is a matter of some scholarly discussion; it is translated as “queen” in Tadmor and Yamada, RINAP 1 pp. 164–167 Tiglath-pileser III nos. 2003–2005 and pp. 187–188 Shalmaneser V nos. 2001–2002 and as “wife” in Leichty, RINAP 4 pp. 313–323 nos. 2001–2009.
