ePSD2 articles contain the following elements:
- Summary
- The Summary appears at the top of the article and is also used for the results of glossary searches.
- Bases
- Bases are given both in cuneiform and as a distributional table--click on the numbers to see the occurrences of a specific base. You may need to download a cuneiform font in order to see the cuneiform in the bases section. [/doc/help/visitingoracc/fonts/index.html]
- Forms
- Unlike other Oracc glossaries, the word forms are
not included inline in the dictionary articles but are available as a
separate table, reached via a link immediately after the bases. The
forms table can be sorted on the various fields and provides links to
the occurrences of the forms.
- Periods
- ePSD2 uses periodizations which are aligned partly
with preserved phases of Sumerian and partly with the historical
sequences of Mesopotamia. The following table is indicative of the
date ranges of documents assigned to the periods for the purposes of
ePSD2, and is not intended as an attempt to define the chronology of
the periods.
