Son of Urdānum

This son of Urdānum, whose name is completely broken away, may have been a ruler of the city Aššur. The name Urdānum is itself uncertain; the reading given here was proposed by K. Deller (1983, 15).

Part of an Old Assyrian inscription is preserved on a fragment of a clay tablet now housed in Berlin (Vorderasiatisches Museum). The son of Urdānum dedicated some object (perhaps an oven) for his life and the lives of his family. Interestingly, an image of a fish is drawn on the tablet's edge.
