Texts by Dated Eponyms Attributed to the Reign of Aššur-uballiṭ II (611–609 BC)

The exact sequence of eponyms for the short reign of Aššur-uballiṭ II (611–609 BC), Assyria's last ruler, is unknown and, thus, every person who has attempted to order the eponyms has his/her own sequence. The chart below compares the arrangement of the post-canonical eponyms for the years 611–609 BC suggested by M. Falkner (AfO 17 [1954–56] pp. 100–120), S. Parpola (PNA 1/1 pp. XVIII–XIX), and J.E. Reade (Orientalia NS 67 [1998] pp. 255–265).

Following the well-known series State Archives of Assyria [/saao/] (SAA) and Prosopography of the Neo-Assyrian Empire [/pnao/] (PNA), the dates provided by ATAE tentatively follow the dating system proposed by Simo Parpola.
